Old business: Recap of Valentines Cruise

The Valentine's Cruise & Dinner was on held Saturday February 13th.
Jim & Tammy were cruise leaders for this cruise.

We cruised the country side and ended up at Celebration Park which was established as Idaho's only archaeological park in 1989. It is located on the Snake River at the western boundary of the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area out by Melba..

The area was a wintering ground for Paiute Indians along the Snake River. As we walked the desert we searched for petroglyphs that dated as far back as 12,000 years. It was pretty unique to see something that old and still visible.

As we were leaving the area we stopped and walked across the old Historic Guffy Bridge. The bridge was initially built in 1897 and was intended to carry ore from Silver City to Nampa where it would be smelted. From there we cruised back to Boise and visited an old fashioned candy store - Powell's. What a treat. After buying a few items there we cruised on over to Jerry's State House cafe where we all had a fabulous dinner and exchanged Valentines gifts.

Our special Valentine's dessert was made by Connie. Double brownies with carmel. They were to die for. Thank you Connie what a way to end the dinner. She called them her " Better than Sex Brownies"

This cruise was alot of fun. Thanks to everyone

A huge thanks to everyone that came and for everyone that brought homemade goodies to eat along the way.

Bill & Mary Alice for cupcakes,

Ray & Suzanne for brownies,

Pat & Gale for haystacks,

Lynne & Gordy for peanut brittle.

And we thought we were going to be hungry on this cruise.....

The goodies were enjoyed by all.
