Treasure Valley PT Cruiser
Meet & Greet Minutes
August 21, 2008

Kopper Kitchen, Boise, ID

There were 16 people in attendance including Annette T. who has a white PT. She came to check out the PT Cruiser Club and what it was all about.

The minutes were read from the last meeting by Connie. Tammy asked if there was anyone that would volunteer to be secretary at the meetings, she needs someone to write and type out the minutes for her. Cathy was nominated and accepted the position.

Sandra read the Treasurers report.

Tammy opened the discussion about asking all memebers to donate annually for the club plus keeping the $1 jar at every meeting. Everyone thought it was a good idea; the club needs to make more money that they have been doing the last couple of years. Too much money is coming out of member’s pockets for the annual events. Connie made the motion to pass this; a vote was taken and passed. Starting January 1, 2009 each P.T. Cruiser Car will make a donation of $25.00 as an annual donation. There was also some talk about recruitment, and that the club would give potential new members 90 days to decide if they want to join and pay their donation fee.

Sandra talked about the MT. Home parade on the 6th of Sept., flyers were passed out explaining about the cruise over to MT. Home. She reminded everyone to bring their car flags. The club is allowed to throw candy so everyone was encouraged to bring lots.

Tammy passed out new membership forms so that she could get everyone’s information updated. She also talked about the Oval Parade at Meridian Speedway. No one seems to be able to get a hold of Tony to find out a date, so the census is that this will probably not happen this year since racing season is almost over.

The Wilson’s talked about their BBQ on the 27th of September. It will be pot luck, they will furnish the meat. The club will meet at Perkins on Federal Way that morning at 10:00 am and be on the road at 10:30am. They talked about taking the route up there that the club took coming back last year.

A couple of the members asked about doing a Jackpot Cruise, this was set aside to be discussed further after the first of the year.

Connie and Larry are planning a cruise for the 25th of October. There will be further discussion on that at the next meeting.

The Boise Holiday Parade is November 29th. Tammy has not heard from them yet on if the club has been accepted to participate this year. She will update the club on that when she gets more information.

The MT. Home Night Light Parade is November 28th. Sandra and Barry will have more information on that at the next meeting.

The Club started talking about the annual Christmas party. A couple of people suggested that the club do the same thing this year as last year, have hors d’oeuvres at one house and then cruise over to another house for dessert and gift exchange. There was another suggestion that we use either Gary’s clubhouse or Connie work place for a spaghetti feed and pot luck. They both will check into this and get back to the club about details. It was decided that it will be Saturday, December 13th. There will be a gift exchange with a limit of $20.00 or less, each person is to bring a gift. There will be list made up of things the club will need for the pot luck and passed around at the next meeting. (ie, plates, forks stuff like that). Plus a list for everyone to sign up with what they will bring for food to the pot luck.

The meeting was called to an end around 7:30pm.

Cathy

Until next time cruise safely....
